In the automotive electronics industry, the application of capacitors covers core areas such as power systems, energy management, and electronic control. Its core technical characteristics and reliability requirements are reflected in the following dimensions: 

1、 Application of core components of power system 

motor control 

Thin film capacitors achieve an increase in electrode contact area through a special empowerment device, combined with impact testing technology, effectively ensuring the stability of electric vehicle power systems. Aluminum electrolytic capacitors, polypropylene capacitors, and other devices are widely used in inverter circuits to perform functions such as rectification, filtering, and temperature compensation. 

Car charging system 

High frequency and low loss capacitors are used in three-phase inverters and on-board chargers (OBCs), such as three ring capacitors, which optimize the signal transmission quality of high-frequency circuits and reduce electromagnetic interference due to their low inductance characteristics. 

2、 Application of Energy Management System 

Braking energy recovery 

Supercapacitors can achieve rapid charging and discharging in seconds, and when working in conjunction with power batteries, they can recover braking energy with an energy conversion efficiency of over 90%, helping hybrid vehicles reduce fuel consumption by 30% -50%. 

Battery Management System 

Capacitors play a filtering and voltage stabilizing role in battery pack circuits, and need to withstand a wide temperature range of -40 ℃ to 125 ℃, while also dealing with mechanical impacts in vehicle vibration environments. 

3、 Application of electronic control system 

Sensors and ECU 

Single stone capacitors and multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) are used in sensor signal conditioning modules to ensure accurate acquisition of weak signals through low ESR characteristics. 

ADAS system power supply 

Safety capacitors are used in radar and camera power supply units to achieve DC isolation and coupling functions, meeting the electromagnetic compatibility requirements of in vehicle electronic devices. 

4、 Special scenario applications 

Low temperature startup support 

Supercapacitors are used in parallel with batteries at -40 ℃ to solve the difficulty of starting caused by the performance degradation of traditional batteries in low-temperature scenarios. 

High ripple current scenario 

Hybrid capacitors are designed with low impedance to cope with large current fluctuations, such as high-frequency ripple current surges in DC-DC converters 

5、 Development of Reliability Technology 

Material and process optimization 

The seismic performance is improved by using metalized film, resin sealing and other technologies. Some automotive capacitors have been verified for a lifespan of more than 10 years, and the mechanical impact test standard reaches 50G acceleration. 

Environmental adaptability design 

High temperature stable materials (such as 125 ℃ resistant electrolyte) and anti collapse structures (L-shaped support plates) are integrated into capacitor design to adapt to high-temperature vibration environments such as engine compartments.
