01 Power control system
Engine control unit
Surface mount resistors optimize engine operating conditions, improve fuel efficiency, and reduce emissions by precisely controlling fuel injection, ignition timing, and valve timing. NTC thermistor monitors coolant temperature and dynamically adjusts coolant flow to prevent engine overheating and enhance operational reliability.
Battery Management System
In new energy vehicles, alloy resistors and thick film resistors are used for battery balancing management, controlling the charging and discharging rate through current limiting and voltage dividing functions to prevent overcharging/overdischarging of the battery. NTC thermistor monitors the battery temperature in real-time and adjusts the working status in conjunction with the control system to ensure that the battery operates within a safe temperature range.
02 safety system
Active safety device
Surface mount resistors play a role in signal conditioning in ABS and ESP systems, ensuring the accuracy of data from brake pressure sensors and wheel speed sensors and shortening system response time. Wire wound resistors are used in airbag ignition circuits to avoid accidental triggering through precise current limiting.
circuit protection
Varistors and thermistors absorb surge currents in car power modules, suppress voltage spikes, and protect core components such as ECU from transient overvoltage damage. In low-temperature start-up scenarios, thermistors reduce the risk of circuit surges through their current limiting function.
03 Comfort and body control
Environmental regulation system
NTC thermistor detects frost formation on the evaporator in the air conditioning system and links with the defrosting logic; Simultaneously monitor the temperature inside the car and achieve automatic temperature control adjustment. Surface mount resistors are used in seat heating circuits, combined with temperature feedback to achieve gradient heating control.
Lighting and Display Module
Cement resistors play a constant current role in the driving circuit of LED headlights, extending the lifespan of the lamps through voltage division design; Metal film resistors are used in the backlight circuit of LCD instruments to ensure stable display brightness.
04 Special applications of new energy vehicles
Adaptation of electric drive system
Alloy resistors enable current sampling in motor controllers, reducing power consumption through low resistance (milliohm level) design and meeting the accuracy requirements of high current scenarios. Hybrid resistor capacitor network is used for inverter filtering to suppress high-frequency interference.
Charging and energy recovery
Thin film resistors are used in the voltage sampling circuit of car chargers (OBC), and are combined with high-precision ADC chips to achieve closed-loop control of charging status. The shunt resistor in the braking energy recovery system is used for current detection to improve energy conversion efficiency.
05 Environmental adaptability design
The automotive resistor adopts anti oxidation metal materials and epoxy resin packaging technology, which can withstand extreme temperatures of -40 ℃ to 150 ℃ and 20G mechanical impact. High voltage ceramic resistors are designed with optimized creepage distance to meet the insulation requirements of 800V platform electric vehicles.
